Cleansing your crystal

When you first purchase or receive your crystal one of the very first things you have to do is cleanse it. (Please be sure to keep your crystal away from all harsh chemicals). You can use room temperature water to cleanse your crystal, soak in sea salt water/Ocean water. If you choose to smudge, Smudging with sage or Palo Santo, Sitting your crystals In natural sunlight and or moonlight on your windowsill , placing your crystals in a selenite bowl , plate or wand is great . Nature is always best so even burying it temporarily in dirt can be beneficial or even using rainwater to cleanse it is a great . Whichever way you feel called to cleanse Give it a try . Some other ways to cleanse and program your crystal which are  very powerful is cleansing it with your very own energy using your hands,  hold it, say a prayer or set your intention for your crystal , hold the vision of your crystal being cleared of all negative energy  .

 

Caring for your crystals can be simple . After cleansing your crystal , setting your intention or prayer for your crystal is a great way to connect with the energy of it . You may want to sit with it , hold it , become aware of how it makes you feel , meditate with it , or sleep with it . Even if you just wear it or place it in your pocket you can benefit from its healing properties.
